Artlab looks after Australia's rich artistic and cultural history. Artlab Australia is in the business of preserving and conserving items of historical and cultural value to ensure that coming generations enjoy the inspiration of seeing cultural artefacts and slices of history first-hand.
A recent commission involved cleaning the superb stained glass windows located in Scots Uniting Church, on the corner of Pulteney Street and North Terrace, Adelaide.
The church was officially opened on July 6th 1851, minus the tower which was added in 1858.
The oldest of the stained glass windows date back to 1890 and the most recent the 1960's and are commemorated to the memory of church parishioners including Sir Thomas Elder.
Principal Conservator Projects, Joanna Barr lead the team of conservators cleaning the vast expanse of these windows, each one between 4 and 6 metres tall.
Artlab Australia also operates overseas, offering collections and care management recommendations and preventive conservation surveys
and training. Their qualified team of conservators specialise in preserving works of art, built heritage material and historical items.
