AbaF Arts Leaders Workshop targets the potential of untapped philanthropy
Increasing Private Giving: Strategy for Arts Leaders Workshop
Australia Business Arts Foundation
29/05/2009
The Margaret Lawrence Bequest Workshop aims at helping arts leaders to increase their chances of receiving private giving.
The workshop will provide practical advice on finding and developing relationships with prospective major donors and through open discussion will tackle questions and problems using real-life case studies.
A major focus of the seminar will be identifying and distinguishing philanthropy from sponsorship and other forms of marketing and revenue, and participants will be encouraged to reassess the philanthropic potential of their organisation.
The workshop is ideally designed for board members from arts organisations, however chief executive officers, general managers and senior executives can also attend with a board member from their organisation.
Presenter: Frankie Airey
Frankie has in-depth knowledge of the philanthopic sector both within Australia and the UK working for organisations such as Oxford University, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Victorian Arts Centre and the Sydney Opera House. She is a member of Philanthropy Australia and a Board member of the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne.
